CAUTION: Do not change any jumper setting while the computer is on. Damage to the motherboard can result.
This motherboard has a jumper to clear the Real Time Clock (RTC) RAM in CMOS.
The top row of this jumper block is used to clear custom BIOS settings in CMOS RAM.
NOTE:Revisions 1.02 and 1.03 of this motherboard might have the jumper positions mislabeled on the motherboard. Regardless of the way the pins are labeled the physical jumper positions remain the same for all versions of the motherboard
The default setting for this jumper is bridging the two top-right pins.
Clear CMOS settings as follows:
  1. Make sure the computer is turned off and the power cord is disconnected.
  2. Temporarily move the jumper to bridge the two top-left pins.
  3. Wait 5-10 seconds and then return the jumper to the two top-right pins.
  4. Plug in the power cord
  5. Turn on the computer and enter BIOS setup to reset any custom BIOS settings
The final pin numbering for this jumper will be "2, 4, 6" from left to right.
The physical jumper positioning remains the same regardless of numbering.

Clear CMOS
The final pin numbering for this jumper will be "1, 3, 5" from left to right.
The physical jumper positioning remains the same regardless of numbering.
The BIOS password is used to protect BIOS settings from unwanted changes. If you have forgotten your password you may disable password checking.
CAUTION: Do not change any jumper setting while the computer is on. Damage to the motherboard can result.
To erase the BIOS password follow these steps:
NOTE:Revisions 1.02 and 1.03 of this motherboard may have the jumper positions mislabeled on the motherboard.
Physical jumper positions will remain the same for all versions of the motherboard.
The bottom row of this jumper block is used to clear a custom BIOS password. The default setting for jumper CLEAR P.W. is bridging the two bottom-right pins of the jumper block.
To clear the BIOS password:
  1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.
  2. Locate the jumper labeled CLEAR P.W.
  3. Move the jumper to CLEAR P.W to the bottom-left pins.
  4. Plug in the power cord and turn ON the computer.
  5. Hold down the F10 key during the startup process and enter BIOS setup to change or clear the password.
  6. After changing or clearing the BIOS passwords, remember to reset the jumper to the bottom-right pins
