Printing from a Tablet in Windows 8 and Windows RT

  • PrintPrint

Introduction

This document provides steps for printing a document on a tablet running Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro, or Windows RT. The method you use depends on the app you print from. Window Store Apps use an interface similar to smartphones and other touchscreen-based mobile devices, while Desktop Apps have the classic interface similar to previous versions of Windows.
First, follow these steps to determine which operating system your mobile device is running.
  1. Right-click or touch and hold the bottom left corner of the screen, then click or tap System.
  2. Look under the Windows Edition heading.
    • If you see Windows RT, continue to the Windows RT section.
    • If you see Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro, skip to the Windows 8 section.
