Unlocking the Scanner

Introduction

If having trouble unlocking the scanner, these instructions will help you unlock it.

Instructions

To unlock the scanner, do the following:
  1. Move the lever toward the outside edge of the scanner (the illustration on the back corner of the scanner indicates that outside edge is the unlocked position). When it reaches the unlocked position, the lock will make a "snap" or "click."
  2. If this does not happen, return the lever to the locked position, then move to the unlocked position again. When you hear a "snap" or a "click," the scanner is unlocked.

HP supplies all of their manuals and help files with the HP Scanjet scanner on the CD-ROM. To access the information, install the scanning software from the CD-ROM. Once that is completed, follow the path listed below to the User Guide and much more.
