Changing the Language on the HP All-in-One Control Panel Display

Introduction

This document provides steps for changing the language that displays on the product, and for changing the language to English from another language.

Changing the language to English from another language

If the control panel display is set to a different language, and you want to change the language to English, follow these steps to reset the product.
  1. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer, and then wait for 20 seconds.
  2. Press and hold the # and 3 buttons simultaneously, while plugging the power cord back to the printer.
  3. Release the buttons after reconnecting the power cord.
  4. Press the Power button ( ) if the printer does not turn on automatically.

Changing the language on the HP All-in-One control panel display

  1. Press the Setup button ( ).
  2. Press the Arrow buttons ( ) to select Basic Settings , and then press OK .
  3. Press the Arrow buttons ( ) to select Set Language , and then press OK .
  4. Press the Arrow buttons ( ) to scroll through the language options until the preferred language displays on the control panel display, and then press OK .
  5. Press 1 on the keypad to confirm your language selection.
    NOTE:If you do not make a selection within five seconds, the control panel display automatically changes to show the next language. If you do not make a selection within two minutes the Setup menu exits and the language/region remains unchanged.
  6. When the Set Location message displays, press the Arrow buttons ( ) to select the correct country/region, and then press 1 on the keypad to confirm your choice.
    NOTE:If you do not make a selection within five seconds, the control panel display automatically changes to show the next country/region. If you do not make a selection within two minutes the Setup menu exits and the language/region remains unchanged.
