Configuring Avira Premium Security Suite (v 9 and 10) for Compatibility with Network Products

Introduction

This document provides steps to configure Avira Premium Security Suite (versions 9 and 10) to allow a connection with the product.
NOTE:This procedure might reduce the security provided by your firewall.
Follow these steps to configure Avira Premium Security Suite.

Step one: Configure Avira Premium Security Suite

NOTE:Perform these steps before you install any HP software. When you install any HP software, click Allow on any pop up windows that appear to allow all processes.
  1. Click on the Avira Premium Security Suite icon ( ) in the taskbar, or click the shortcut on your desktop to open the Avira Premium Security Suite window.
  2. On the left side of the window, click Online protection , and then select Firewall from the options that display.
  3. Click the Security level slide and drag it downward to set the security to Medium
  4. Close the Avira Premium Security Suite window.

Step two: Restart your computer

Restart your computer in order for your changes to take effect.
