Configuring Comodo Internet Security Pro 4.1 and 2011 for Compatibility with Network Products

Introduction

This document provides steps to configure Comodo Internet Security Pro to allow a connection with the HP product. Select the correct version to view instructions to configure your firewall.
NOTE:These procedures might reduce the security provided by your firewall.
Follow these steps to configure the Comodo Internet Security Pro 4.1 firewall to allow the HP product to connect.
  1. Click the Comodo Internet Security Pro icon ( ) in the notification area, or click the shortcut on your desktop to open the Comodo Internet Security Pro window.
  2. Click the Firewall icon. The Firewall window opens.
  3. In the left panel, click Advanced .
  4. Click the Firewall Behavior Settings tab. The Firewall Behavior Settings window opens.
  5. Click the Advanced tab.
  6. Clear the checkbox next to Block Fragmented IP datagrams .
    There should now be no checkboxes checked in the Advanced tab.
  7. Click OK . The main Comodo window opens.
  8. In the main window, select the Network Security Policy heading. The Network Security Policy screen opens.
  9. Click the Global Rules tab.
  10. Click Block IP In From IP any To IP Any Where Protocol Is Any , and then click Edit . The Network Control Rule window opens.
  11. From the Action drop-down list, click Allow .
  12. Click Apply
  13. Click OK to return to the main window.
  14. Close the main window.
  15. Restart your computer.
Follow these steps to configure the Comodo Internet Security Pro 2011 firewall to allow the HP product to connect.
  1. Click the Comodo Internet Security 2011 icon ( ) in the notification area or the shortcut on the desktop.
  2. Click the Firewall icon.
  3. Click on Firewall Behavior Settings .
  4. Click on the Advanced tab.
  5. Uncheck the Block Fragmented IP datagrams checkbox.
  6. Click OK .
  7. Close the Comodo Internet Security 2011 program.
  8. If you have not done so already, connect your HP product to the network by installing the software (CD or download). Choose the Network Install option.
