Introduction

This document provides steps to configure Norton Internet Security 2009 and 2010 Firewall to allow a connection with the product.

Configuring the Norton Internet Security firewall to allow a connection with the All-in-One

Only perform this step if you have changed the network settings of Norton Internet Security. If you have never changed Norton Internet Security network settings, you can skip this step and move on to turn your product off, and then back on.

Step one: Return the firewall back to default settings

Select your version of Norton Internet Security from the following options for instructions to configure the Norton Internet Security firewall.
Follow these steps to configure Norton Internet Security 2009 Firewall.
  1. On the Windows taskbar, double click the Norton Internet Security icon ( ) located in the lower-right corner of your computer screen (the notification area) or click the shortcut on the desktop.
    The Norton Internet Security window displays.
  2. From the Internet section, click Settings .
    The Internet Settings window displays.
  3. Click Use Section Defaults to restore the default network settings. A dialog box displays asking if you want to continue. Click Yes .
  4. Close the Norton Internet Security 2009 Firewall window.
Follow these steps to configure Norton Internet Security 2010 Firewall.
  1. On the Windows taskbar, double click the Norton Internet Security icon ( ) located in the lower-right corner of your computer screen (the notification area) or click the shortcut on the desktop.
    The Norton Internet Security window displays.
  2. From the Network section, click Settings .
    The Network Settings window displays.
  3. Click Use Section Defaults to restore the default network settings. A dialog box displays asking if you want to continue. Click Yes .
  4. Close the Norton Internet Security 2010 Firewall window.

Step two: Turn your HP product off, back on, and install the software

Follow these steps to complete the software installation for your HP product.
  1. Turn your HP product off, and then back on again.
  2. Install the HP software. When the computer displays an alert, click Remember this setting , and then click Allow .
