Support details

This document provides information on cleaning and maintaining HP Scanjet scanners. Periodically, the scanner glass may need cleaning to maintain a high quality image.
Original items placed on the scanner glass that are excessively dusty, dirty, or have ink that smears when touched can leave dirt and deposits on the scanner glass.

Some HP Scanjet scanners can have the under side, or bottom side, of the glass cleaned.
Scanners with the capability of having the under side of the glass cleaned are listed below. Click the provided link of the specific scanner model for instructions on cleaning the under side of the glass.
NOTE: All scanners are listed by series numbers, therefore, a 5300cse and a 5370cxi would use the same instructions.
