Introduction
The HP all-in-one product software includes the HP Photo Printing software. This software makes it quick and easy to print photographs or group photos into pages for an album. These functions are available from the HP Photo View center software.
The HP Photo and Imaging Gallery is launched by clicking the View & Print
icon in the Director.
Selecting images and opening the HP Photo Printing Software
Select images from the HP Photo and Imaging Gallery. Images can be selected from existing images on the computer hard drive or new images can be added using either the Scan or Card Upload icons as shown in Figure 1. Any images located in a folder on the hard drive (selected on the left portion of the screen) are displayed as thumbnail images. An image has to be selected before any operation can be performed on it. To select an image:
- Click an image to select it. The thumbnail border will turn blue when selected.
- Multiple images are selected by holding down the Ctrl key on the PC keyboard and then clicking the images.
Once images are selected, click Photo Printing
to open the HP Photo Printing software. The HP Photo Printing software will launch and the selected images will be transferred into this software.

The selected images should appear in the left portion of the HP Photo Printing software as shown in Figure 2. More images can be added using the Open Files
icon.

Images must be selected in order to use them. Placing the mouse over an image in the HP Photo Printing software opens a small toolbar around the image as shown in Figure 3. This toolbar allows the image to be removed from the HP Photo Printing Software (but does not delete the image from the hard drive), rotated, or viewed more closely by zooming in on it. Click an image to select it. The file name box will turn blue when selected. Multiple images are selected by holding down the Ctrl key on the PC keyboard and clicking the images.

Printing photographs and making albums
Creating photo prints or making photo album pages is accomplished by clicking either the Prints
or Album
icon with at least one image selected.
Photo prints
- With at least one image selected, click Prints . A screen similar to the one shown in Figure 4 will appear.
- This screen allows the size of the paper loaded into the paper tray to be selected as well as different photo sizes and layouts to be selected. Select the desired output options.
- Click OK after making selections. The HP software will automatically reduce, enlarge, or rotate the image(s) to format the page correctly. A preview of the page will appear on the right side of the HP Photo Printing software main screen as shown in Figure 5.
- If the output is not what is desired, any print preview can be removed by clicking the X in the upper right corner of the preview.
- Click the Print icon to print the preview page(s).

Albums
- Select at least one image and click Albums , to bring up a screen similar to the one shown in Figure 6.
- For automatic page layout, use the Auto-Layout option, or select the Templates option to use a specific template. then select the desired options.
- This screen also allows selecting the size of the paper loaded into the paper tray as well as the page orientation (portrait or landscape) in the album.
- Click OK after making selections. The HP software will automatically try to format the images on the page correctly. A preview of the page will appear on the right side of the HP Photo Printing software main screen as shown in Figure 7.
- Any print preview can be removed by clicking the X in the upper right corner of the preview.
- Click the Print icon to print the preview page(s).
