This document describes the installation of the HP Photo Imaging Software and the use of the HP Photosmart 315, 315xi, 618, 618xi, 912, and 912xi digital cameras with a personal computer.
SOLUTION:
Follow the steps below to install and run the HP Photo Imaging Software version 2.5. This procedure requires 150 MB of free disk-drive space.
NOTE: The HP Photo Imaging Software runs on Microsoft(R) Windows 98, 2000, Millennium Edition (Me), and Windows NT 4.0 (with Service Pack 5 or above). It is not supported in Windows 3.x, 95, or earlier versions of Windows NT.
Insert the HP Photo Imaging Software CD into the computer CD-ROM drive. If the setup software does not start automatically, use Windows Explorer to locate the CD-ROM drive
Double-click the SETUP.EXE file.
Follow the setup-program directions to install the software.

Unload Camera - To download photos from the camera (HP Digital Camera Unload Software)
View Images - To preview and perform minor editing of photos (with ACD Systems ACDSee Software)
Print Images - To compose and print photos (with HP Photo Printing Software)
Share Images - To share photos over the Internet
E-mail Portal - To share photos by using e-mail (Wizard-configured)
Help - To gain access to Help information about the HP Photosmart digital cameras and software
NOTE: Windows NT 4.0 does not support the universal serial bus (USB) interface. To transfer images from the memory card to the computer, use a serial or parallel interface memory card reader such as the HP Photosmart P1000/P1100/P1100xi printer. Please follow the memory card reader use directions in the Camera Quick Start Guide.
