Mac OS: Which Printers Are Supported on a Network with a Macintosh Computer

Is the printer supported on a network?
SOLUTION:
Some products are supported on a network and some are not. To receive technical support, network-capable products must use an HP Jetdirect print server. Networking on a Macintosh includes Ethernet, 802.11 and Airport Base Stations. The following tables list the network capabilities for each product.

NOTE: Printers that are not supported on a network might work when set up via AppleTalk. Although AppleTalk is not supported by HP, it will provide printing functionality.
CAUTION: The Apple Web site has a list of printers supported on the Airport Extreme without using a Jetdirect print server. HP does not guarantee for functionality and does not support it.
