Print Cartridge Configuration: Ink Backup Printing Mode

  • PrintPrint

Introduction

Ink Backup mode is the ability of the HP Photosmart 7200 and 7400 series printers to provide reasonable quality output when a cartridge runs out of ink, is defective, or fails altogether. Ink Backup mode is initiated only after one of the ink cartridge is removed. The printer will exit Ink Backup mode when two functioning ink cartridges are installed.
