The 'Access is denied
' error relates to the permissions that you and your user profile have on your computer. The HP installer tries to write HP data to various files or folders and registry keys on the computer during installation, and limited or incorrect permissions on those files, folders, or registry keys results in an 'Access is denied
' error.
Solution
Follow these steps to first determine where the HP installer failed, and then troubleshoot accordingly.
Step one: Open the error details
Return to the 'Access is denied
' error window, and click OK
. The error report details screen opens.
NOTE:If you already closed the error window, restart the installation to reproduce the error.

Click Details
in the lower left corner of the error report details screen. An Error Situation Code
(ESC) screen (error log) opens. Leave this screen open and continue to the next step.
