This document explains how to print on both sides of the paper in Mac OS 10.4.x and later.
Printing on Both Sides of the Paper (Duplexing) in Mac OS 10.4.x and Later
To print on both sides of the paper, follow these steps.
Step one: Install the two-sided printing accessory (duplexer)
  1. Push the two latch handles on the rear access door inward, and then pull the door out to remove it.

    NOTE: Do not discard the rear access door. In order to print, the duplexer or the rear access door must be attached to the product.
  2. Insert the duplexer in the back of the product until both sides snap into place.

Step two: Load the paper
  1. Load the paper in the input tray.
  2. Slide the paper-width guide and paper-lenth guide firmly against the edges of the paper.

Step three: Set the print preferences and print
  1. Open the document you want to print.
  2. Click File , and then click Page Setup .
  3. From the Format For drop-down list, click your product.
  4. From the Paper Size drop-down list, select the paper size you loaded in the input tray.

  5. Click OK .
  6. Click File , and then click Print .
  7. From the Copies & Pages drop-down list, click Two-Sided Printing .
  8. Click the Print Both Sides check box, and then click the Binding option that suits your needs.

  9. From the Copies & Pages drop-down list, click Paper Type/Quality .

  10. Click the Paper tab.
  11. From the Source drop-down list, click Rear Tray .

  12. Click Print .
