Hardware Volume Buttons do not Affect Sound from USB Audio Devices

The hardware volume buttons on your keyboard do not affect the audio output from a universal serial bus (USB) device. This occurs with any USB device.

This behavior is by design. Use the volume controls within the application, the speaker icon in the system tray, or the controls on your speakers to control the volume.
