Either before or during a print job, the message Paper Jam. Clear jam then press OK.
displays on the printer screen. The printer will not print.
Solution
Check the printer's LCD screen for instructions. Follow the instructions. If the issue is not resolved, proceed to the steps below.
Step one: Clear jammed paper
WARNING:Clear jammed paper from the back only. Clearing jams from the front can damage the product.
Turn off the printer.
Unplug the power cord.
Remove the rear access door.
Gently remove all the jammed paper you see.
If the paper tears when removing it from the rollers,
check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper. If all the pieces of paper are not removed, more paper jams are likely to occur.
If printing labels, see if any are missing from the label sheet. If any labels are missing, locate them inside of the printer and remove them very carefully.
Replace the rear access door.
Plug the power cord in.
Press the On
button to turn the printer on.
Press the OK
button to print the document again.
If the instructions above did not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step two: Clean the paper rollers
Turn off the unit, then unplug the power cord.
Remove the rear access door.
Wipe the paper rollers with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled or bottled water. Rotate the rollers with your fingers to clean all the way around.

Allow the rollers to dry completely, then replace the rear access door.
Plug the unit back in and turn it on.
Step three: Service the product
If you have completed all the preceding steps and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.

Cause
Paper jams can be caused by several factors. Follow these guidelines to prevent further paper jams.
Insert paper into the paper tray only until it meets resistance. Do not push it farther in.
Make sure that the paper is flat in the paper tray and that the guide is adjusted to the width of the paper.
Do not add paper while the product is printing.
Remove printed pages frequently.
Do not use paper that is too thin, too slick, or that stretches.
Do not use torn or creased paper. Used paper might cause jams.
Make sure that the rear access door is securely fastened.
