Area Of Screen Is Blank When Playing Movie In Clone Mode

Identifying a problem when viewing a video

On some notebook models, playing a movie on a computer configured with two displays active in clone mode causes the area of the screen where the movie ordinarily displays to be black.

Enable full screen movie playback on the secondary display

To resolve the playback issue of a blank screen, perform the following actions to enable the full screen mode on the secondary display.
  1. Attach the external display.
  2. Press Fn-F4 to switch to clone mode.
  3. Right-click on the desktop area and select Nvidia Display >Laptop Display .
  4. Select Full Screen Video when prompted.
  5. Select Secondary Display in the drop box labeled "Full Screen Device ".
  6. Press OK and play the movie.
