Understanding webcam problems
The notebook PC webcam may intermittently stop responding when the notebook PC resumes from Hibernation/Standby Mode. This happens because all video-intensive programs tend to become unstable after a power state change.
Resolve the webcam response problem
If your webcam stops responding after resuming from hibernation or standby mode, resolve the issue by following the steps below.
- Shut down all programs and applications.
- Restart the computer.
When the computer restarts, the webcam will respond normally.
