Printing a Self-Test Report

Introduction

This document contains steps for printing a self-test report from the product control panel.
The self-test report provides product information, such as the product name, model number, serial number, and the firmware version number. The self-test report includes printed test patterns that you can use to troubleshoot print quality issues. The report also includes a log of recent events.

Print a self-test report

Use the following steps to print a self-test report.

Print a self-test report from the product control panel

  1. Load unused, plain white, U.S. letter or A4 sized paper in the tray.
  2. Press the Setup button () on the product control panel.
  3. Press the right arrow button () to select Print Report, and then press OK.
  4. Press the right arrow button () to select Self-Test Report, and then press OK.
The product prints the self-test report.
