Printing a Self-Test Report

Introduction

This document contains steps for printing a self-test report from the product control panel.
The self-test report provides product information, such as the product name, model number, serial number, and the firmware version number. The self-test report includes printed test patterns that you can use to troubleshoot print quality issues. The report also includes a log of recent events.

Print a self-test report

Use the following steps to print a self-test report.

Print a self-test report from the product control panel

  1. Load unused, plain white, U.S. letter or A4 sized paper in the tray.
  2. Press the Setup button ( ) on the product control panel.
  3. Press the right arrow button ( ) to select Print Report , and then press OK .
  4. Press the right arrow button ( ) to select Self-Test Report , and then press OK .
The product prints the self-test report.
