Battery Light is Red

Issue

The battery charge light is red and the product is not turning on.

Solution

Step one: Check the power outlet

  1. Connect another device to the power outlet and make sure that the surge protector or the power outlet supplies power.
  2. Check the power cord for loose connections.
If the issue continues, proceed to the next step.

Step two: Clean the battery contacts and reinstall the battery

  1. Disconnect the power cord.
  2. Slide the battery release slider in the direction of the arrow.
  3. Remove the battery.

  4. Use a lint free cloth or cotton swab to clean the contacts on the battery and the product. This will remove the dirt on the contacts.
  5. Reconnect the power cord.
  6. To reinstall the battery, slide the battery into the battery slot at an angle, until the contacts on the battery are aligned with the contacts in the battery slot. The battery contact cover slides open.
    NOTE: Battery can be installed with the product turned on or off.
  7. Push the battery into the battery slot until the battery clicks into place.

  8. Make sure that the power adapter is connected to the product and the product is turned on. Charge the battery for 4 hours, if using it for the first time. For subsequent charges, it takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge the battery. The battery charge light is green when the battery is charging, and turns off when the battery is fully charged.
    NOTE:After the battery is fully charged, the product can be used without connecting to the power supply.
If the issue continues, replace the battery.

Step three: Replace the battery

  1. Disconnect the power cord.
  2. Slide the battery release slider in the direction of the arrow.
  3. Remove the battery.

  4. Reconnect the power cord.
  5. To reinstall the battery, slide the battery into the battery slot at an angle, until the contacts on the battery are aligned with the contacts in the battery slot. The battery contact cover slides open.
  6. Push the battery into the battery slot until the battery clicks into place.

  7. Make sure that the power adapter is connected to the product and the product is turned on. Charge the battery for 4 hours when using it for the first time. The battery charge light is green when the battery is charging, and turns off when the battery is fully charged.
    NOTE:After the battery is fully charged, the product can be used without connecting to the power supply.

Cause

The battery is either not charged or could be defective.
