When printing on custom-sized paper or envelopes in Microsoft Word, a 'Paper

error message displays on the printer control panel or on the computer.

error message displays to make sure that ink is not wasted on the wrong paper type. For example, the print job might be for a 4 x 6 inch (101.6 x 152.4 mm) photo, but there is letter-size paper loaded in the printer.
