After upgrading the operating system from Windows Vista to Windows 7, the device manager shows an exclamation mark for an unknown device "keyboard filter." The Quick Launch buttons on the notebook PC do not function.
The keyboard filter driver refers to the Quick Launch button software.
Install the latest Windows 7 version of the Quick Launch Button software
To install the keyboard filter driver the latest version of the Quick Launch Button software for Windows 7 is required. Download and install the software from the
HP Software and Drivers page
for your model. When prompted by the download page, select Windows 7 as the operating system.
