Make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the same network as the mobile device.
Load the image or document to be scanned on the scanner bed or in the printer's automatic document feeder (ADF).
NOTE:Do not load photos in the ADF. Doing so might damage the photo.
From the Home
screen on your Android device, tap HP Printer Control
.
Tap the Printers
button, and then tap your printer's name.
To scan from the ADF, select Source as Document Feeder
. Scans from the ADF cannot be previewed.
Tap the
Scan
icon (

).
Tap the
Settings
icon (

) to adjust the scan settings.
When you are finished adjusting the scan settings, tap Done
.
NOTE:If you tap Back
instead of Done
, the setting changes are not saved.
Tap the Preview
icon to preview your scan. Drag the scan to move the selections box, and then enlarge or shrink the selection box by dragging the corners or sides.
Tap the
Scan
icon (

).
When the scan is done, tap Yes
to scan another page, or tap No, I'm done
to finish scanning.
Tap the Disk
icon to save the scan as a PDF document or JPG image, and then tap Save
.
