Introduction
This document describes how to set up and manage Print Apps and Scheduled Delivery Print Apps from ePrintCenter. For more information about Print Apps and Scheduled Delivery Print Apps, see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) in this document.

: Before you can use any Print Apps, your HP product must be connected to a network with an active Internet connection

A print app is a shortcut to printing content from the Internet directly from your printer, with no computer required. Print apps give you direct access to great pre-formatted content from HP and leading companies from around the world. You can choose from a growing library of print apps that make printing faster, simpler, and more useful than ever. Use apps like Google Docs to scan directly to the cloud or use Fandango to purchase movie tickets directly!
Scheduled Delivery print apps allow you to automatically print content on a schedule you choose. For example, if a newspaper app is available for scheduled delivery, you can set up daily delivery at a certain time. You can have your newspaper app automatically print Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Follow these steps to set up Print Apps and Scheduled Delivery Print Apps on your HP product.

NOTE:As part of setting up ePrint, HP recommends that you perform a product update on your HP product to make sure that it has the most up-to-date functionality. If you recently performed a product update, or if you set up the automatic updates feature, skip to the step on enabling Web Services. Otherwise, follow the steps in the order presented.
Step one: Update the HP product firmware
Follow these steps to update the printer firmware. Updating the firmware is necessary to enable Web Services in the next step. The method for performing a firmware update varies by HP printer. Click the Plus sign (
) next to your printer type, and then follow the instructions to update the firmware.

, enter your printer name, and then search for "Getting Product Updates
" to find the specific steps for your printer.
- Click this link, Select Software and Drivers , to go to the HP Software and Drivers download page.
- If prompted, type your HP product number. You might also need to click your model in a list of similar products.
- Select your operating system, and then click Next .
- Click the Plus sign (
) next to Firmware
to view the firmware updates. - Click the firmware update, and then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the firmware.
NOTE:If more than one firmware update is available, install all available updates.
Step two: Enable Web Services
You must first enable Web Services to use ePrint. The way to enable Web Services varies by HP product. Click the Plus sign (
) next to your product type for instructions.

NOTE:When you enable Web Services on your HP product, a Web Services information page prints within a few minutes. The information page contains the printer code that you use to register your HP product at HP ePrintCenter in the next step.If the Web Services information page does not print, wait a few minutes, and then disable and re-enable Web Services. You disable Web Services the same way that you enabled it.
- On the printer control panel, press or touch Setup (
), select Wireless

- Print a network configuration page from the HP printer control panel.
- Find the HP printer's IP address on the network configuration page.
- On your computer, open a web browser, type the IP address into the address line, and then press Enter . The EWS opens.
NOTE:Type the IP address exactly as it displays on the network configuration page, for example, 192.168.X.XXX. - In the EWS, click the HP Web Services tab.
- Select the option to enable Web Services . An information sheet prints.
Step three: Register at HP ePrintCenter
At HP ePrintCenter, you can manage your print jobs, browse apps, and change your ePrint settings. After you register at ePrintCenter, your HP product's unique email address will be provided to you.
Follow these steps to register at ePrintCenter.
- Go to ePrintCenter , and then click Sign In . The Sign In to ePrintCenter window opens.
- In the Sign In to ePrintCenter window, click Create an account . The Create an HP Web Services account window opens.
- Enter your information in the text fields, and then click Create Account . The Add a Printer to your Account window opens.
- In the Enter Printer Code text box, type the printer code found on the information page that you printed in the previous step.
- Click OK . The You have successfully added your printer window opens.
NOTE:Keep this window open, and then continue to the next step to customize your product's email address (optional).
The following sections describe how to manage Print Apps in ePrintCenter.

NOTE:Some HP Web-enabled products support managing Print Apps only from the product control panel.
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab, and then click My Print Apps .
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab, and then click My Print Apps .
- Click Get Apps , and then click the Print App that you want to add to your HP product. A page opens and briefly describes the Print App.
- Click Add to Printer to add the Print App to your HP product.
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab, and then click My Print Apps .
- Place your mouse over the Print App that you want to remove, and then click Remove .
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab, and then click My Print Apps .
- Click the Print App that you want to move, and then drag it to where you want it to show on your HP Product.
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab, and then click My Print Apps .
- Place your mouse over the Print App that you want to configure, and then click Setup .
- Select the sections you want, the days you would like, and your preferred delivery time. Click Submit to finalize the changes.
The content of a Print App has been carefully selected and tuned to print well on your HP product. For all Web-connected HP products, Print App settings default to Normal or Draft depending on the type of print.
- Single-sided prints : The default print quality is Normal , which provides a good balance between speed and print quality.
- Double-sided text prints (not available on all HP products) : The default print quality is Draft on most HP products to reduce bleed-through from one side of the paper to the other.
On some Web-connected HP products, a Settings option is available on the Print Apps Print Preview screen that provides options to select print quality and paper type.

NOTE:Scheduled Delivery Print Apps are available only for certain HP products at this time. Print Apps that can be scheduled for delivery have a Clock icon (
) beneath them. Check ePrintCenter periodically for new and updated Scheduled Delivery Print Apps.

- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab, and then click the tab for your HP product.
- Under Print Apps , click Get More Print Apps .
- Click the Scheduled Delivery Print App that you want to set up, and then click Add to Printer .
NOTE:Apps that can be scheduled for delivery have a Clock icon (
) beneath them. - Click Setup , and then click Configure new subscription .
- Click Delivery Days , and then set the days of delivery.
NOTE:Delivery day options vary. - Click Delivery Time , set your time zone, and then set the time of day for the scheduled delivery.
- Click Save Settings .
- If you are prompted to print a sample copy follow these steps:
Important
: You must print the sample copy to enable delivery of the App.Find the App on the Apps screen of the HP product control panel.Open the App, and then print the sample copy.
NOTE:When the sample copy prints, the control panel display might go blank for a few moments while the App is installed. Wait for the control panel display to clear before proceeding. - Click Continue to complete the setup.
Follow these steps to suspend or resume delivery of a Scheduled Delivery Print App.
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Apps tab, and then click the tab for your HP product.
- Click the App that you want to suspend, and then click Setup .
- Click Update Settings , and then click the Plus icon (
) next to Suspend/Resume Scheduled Delivery
.Click the Calendar icon next to the Suspend on box, and then select the first day to suspend delivery.Click the Calendar icon beside the Resume on box, and then set the first day to resume delivery.
NOTE:To resume the scheduled delivery before the scheduled first day, follow steps 1 to 4. At the bottom of the Suspend/Resume Scheduled Delivery box, click the Clear Dates link, and then continue to the next step. - Click Save Settings .
Follow these steps in the order presented
to cancel and remove a Scheduled Delivery Print App.
Important
: You must cancel the Scheduled Delivery Print App in ePrintCenter before removing the App. If you do not cancel the App first, scheduled jobs continue to print, even if the App is removed. Step one: Cancel the Scheduled Delivery Print App
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Apps tab, and then click the tab for your HP product.
- Click the App that you want to remove, and then click Setup .
- Click Update Settings , and then click Cancel scheduled delivery .
- Click Cancel Subscription .The Scheduled Delivery Print App’s icon is still listed on your HP product's control panel display, but the scheduled deliveries are actually canceled. This allows you to access the Scheduled Delivery Print App at any time. To remove the Scheduled Delivery Print App completely, continue to the next step.
Step two: Remove the Scheduled Delivery Print App completely
Follow these steps to completely remove the Scheduled Delivery Print App. Removing the Scheduled Delivery Print App makes sure that it does not display in ePrintCenter or on the HP product control panel.
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Apps tab, and then click the tab for your HP product.
- Click the App that you want to remove, and then click Remove .
Following is a list of frequently asked questions about setting up and using Print Apps.
Print Apps work by pulling Web content from the Internet into nicely formatted printed pages that you can choose and print directly from your HP product. Print Apps provide easy access to select popular and useful content.

NOTE:You cannot browse the Web for content from your HP product.
You can print selected text, photos, and graphics from the Web.
There are also Print Apps that support scheduled delivery, which allows you to set up your own schedule to print content automatically on set days and times. See the Scheduled Delivery Print Apps
sections in this document for more information.
Some HP products feature Print Apps that support scan-to-Web storage. With these Print Apps you can scan your documents, save them as a PDF, and then automatically upload them to your Web storage account. You can access stored documents from most Web-connected HP products, or print directly using the same Print App from the product. You must have a valid user account with the partner company to use this service.
Currently, all Print Apps are available for download free of charge for owners of HP Web-connected products. On some HP products, Print Apps might offer you the ability to buy certain items (such as movie tickets) conveniently from the HP product. Print Apps might also offer you the option to buy premium content or services.
No. The type and size of an HP product's control panel display and other capabilities determine what Print Apps are available for an HP product, and what kinds of features Print Apps support.
No. Some Print Apps are relevant worldwide, but other Print Apps are useful to users only in particular countries/regions. For example, a Print App for a grocery store chain in the United States would not be useful to our customers in Europe. When you set up your HP product you identified the country/region it is in. HP ePrintCenter shows you Print Apps relevant to your specified country/region. To browse or select Print Apps from another country/region, select a different country/region using the selector at the bottom of HP ePrintCenter.
To find out which Print Apps you can use on your HP product, follow the steps for your HP product's setup:
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab, and then look under the My Print Apps section.Usually, this tab displays all Print Apps installed on your HP product.
NOTE:If the Printers tab does not display the Print Apps installed on your HP product, use the Get More or Add More options on your HP product control panel. To use these options, the HP product must be connected to a network with an active Internet connection, Web services must be enabled, and you must have an HP ePrintCenter account registered. - Click the Get Apps tab to view and install other Print Apps.
On the HP product control panel, look under the Get More
or Add More
options.

Print Apps, your HP product must be connected to a network with an active Internet connection. Web services must be enabled and you must have an HP ePrintCenter account registered.
HP and its partners regularly release new Print Apps, as well as add new content and features to existing Print Apps based on your feedback. New and updated Print Apps on most Web-connected HP products have status indictors that display on the right side of the Print App's icon. Look for a star to indicate a new Print App, or an upward arrow to indicate a Print App that has been updated with new content.
You can tell HP what Print Apps you would like to see available. On the ePrintCenter homepage, click the APPS
tab, and then click Submit idea
in the right column.
For questions or help with any purchases you made with a Print App, contact the company from whom you made the purchase. Follow these steps to find the company's contact information.
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab , and then click My Print Apps .
- Open the Print App, and then click Help or the Help icon (
). - Find the company's contact information, and then contact the company.
NOTE:If you have contacted the Print App company, but did not get your issue resolved and want to pursue the issue further, contact HP. To contact HP, click HP Customer Care Web site , click Contact HP at the top left of the page, and then click one of the options under How to Contact HP .
Following is a list of frequently asked questions about Scheduled Delivery Print Apps.
Only the Print Apps that show the clock icon (
) below the Print App in ePrintCenter can be scheduled for automatic delivery. Check ePrintCenter often to see if other Scheduled Delivery Print Apps have been added. You can also select the Show Scheduled Delivery only
box at the top of the Get Apps
page to show only the Print Apps that offer scheduled delivery.

- The HP product is currently busy printing other jobs.
- The HP product is turned off or not connected to the Internet.
NOTE:The HP product must be connected to a wireless network with an Internet connection. A connection to the computer is not necessary. - The HP product experienced an error and requires attention. Example errors include the HP product being out of paper or out of ink.
- The Scheduled Delivery Print App did not publish a new edition.
- The print job could not be printed due to an issue with the Scheduled Delivery Print Apps service. Please try again later.
NOTE:Scheduled Delivery Print App jobs might stay on the server for up to 24 hours if there is an issue with your HP product. The server checks the HP product status regularly. For example, if the HP product’s cover is open, the Scheduled Delivery Print App prints when you close the cover.
Your Scheduled Delivery Print App might have stopped for one of the following reasons:
- The Scheduled Delivery Print App is not activated. On the HP product's control panel display, select Apps , select the Scheduled Delivery Print App that you want to print, and then select Print Now .
- Your HP product might not be connected to the Internet. To resolve this issue, see Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection (c02817031).
- If a scheduled delivery is interrupted it might take up to 24 hours for the delivery to get back on schedule.
You cannot currently print a past issue from a Scheduled Delivery Print App. However, if your HP product has a control panel display, you can reprint the current issue of a Scheduled Delivery Print App directly from the control panel display. Select Print Now
on a Scheduled Delivery Print App to make sure that the HP product receives the latest print edition.

NOTE:Selecting Print Now
also establishes communication with the system for automated fixes and recoveries to take place.
Wait. After you set up or change a Scheduled Delivery Print App, the system might need 24 hours to start a new delivery. For example, if you set up or changed a Scheduled Delivery Print App on Tuesday morning, you might need to wait until Wednesday morning to see the next print edition.

NOTE:The following steps apply only to HP products that have a control panel display.
- Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
- Click the Printers tab, and then look under the My Print Apps section.
- Select the Scheduled Delivery Print App that you wish to use as a Print Now App, and then select Add to Printer . The Add to Printer button changes to Added to Printer .
- Go to your HP product, and under the Apps menu, select Scheduled Delivery Print App . The control panel displays a message that says you have not setup a scheduled delivery.
- Select Print Now to print the latest edition of the App.If you want to setup a scheduled delivery in the future, go to HP ePrintCenter , select Setup , and then configure the days and times of your delivery.
New Scheduled Delivery Print Apps are being added to ePrintCenter regularly. Check ePrintCenter periodically for new and updated Print Apps.
No. HP does not send unsolicited prints to customers' products. Only you can set up a scheduled delivery print.
Removing a Scheduled Delivery Print App from your HP product does not cancel that App's scheduled deliveries, so you might still receive scheduled prints.
Follow these steps in the order presented

- Click the Apps tab, and then click the tab for your HP product.
- Click the App that you want to remove, and then click Remove .
When you install a Scheduled Delivery Print App, it is normal for your HP product's display to go blank for up to a minute. The process might be shorter or longer, depending on the Scheduled Delivery Print App and the connection speed of the Web connection.
