Internet Explorer May Open a Blank Window After Clicking a Link

Issue

Clicking on a link in Internet Explorere may cause a blank window to open.

Solution

  1. Make sure all Internet Explorer windows are closed.
  2. Open Notepad and paste the following text:

  3. Save the Notepad document on the Desktop using .bat as the extension. Close Notepad.
  4. Right click on the .bat file and select Run as administrator .
