Issue
When you try to install the HP software, the computer displays the following error message:
Error
. A problem occurred while preparing to install software to your system. Please restart your computer, and run this installer again. If the problem persists, please check the product support website for your product.MSIExec command: /i "D:\\Setup\Core\SIPM_32\HpTcpMon.msi" /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress
The error message might specify a different path, for example:

Cause
A software program might have disabled (and turned off) the print spooler, which manages print jobs.

Solution one: Restart the computer and install the software again
Restart the computer, and then try again to install the software.

NOTE:If you closed the Download Complete screen, browse to the folder where you saved the .exe file, and then click it. - You can accept the default location to save the files. Click Next , and then wait while the installer extracts the files to prepare for installation.
- When the Install Wizard starts, follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

Solution two: Change the Startup type in the Print Spooler Properties
Follow these steps to change the Startup type
in the Print Spooler Properties window, restart the computer, and then try again to install the software.

NOTE:If you previously connected the USB cable, right-click or tap and hold the bottom left corner of the screen, click or tap Control Panel , click or tap View devices and printers , and then delete any icons for your printer (
) that might be listed.
- Turn the printer on.
- Insert the CD into the CD drive of the computer, and then wait for the software installer to start.
NOTE:If the CD does not automatically start the installer, right-click or tap and hold the bottom left corner of the screen, click or tap File Explorer , and then double-click or double-tap the CD or DVD drive. - In the installation window, click Go Online or No thanks, I prefer the basic CD installation .
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
NOTE:During the installation, you might be prompted to set up the printer hardware. If you have already set up the printer hardware, you can click Next to bypass any hardware setup steps.

- When the download completes, click or tap Run in the Notification bar.
NOTE:If you closed the Notification bar after the download completed, right-click or tap and hold the bottom left corner of the screen, click or tap File Explorer , and then click or tap Downloads . Find the name of the HP software file, and then double-click or double-tap the file. - Click or tap Yes in the User Account Control window, and then wait while the installer extracts the files.
- When the Install Wizard starts, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
