How to Stop or Manage Scheduled Printing

Introduction

This document explains how to stop or pause scheduled printing
Scheduled printing comes from apps on your printer, also known as Printables, and is a free HP service that includes content like crossword puzzles, coloring pages, coupons, or daily news that can be set up to print on a schedule.
. You might have signed up for scheduled printing through the printer control panel or from your computer when you first set up your printer.
Before you continue, refer to the printout and confirm the name of the app or Printable you want to stop printing.

Method one: Stop or pause scheduled printing through the printer control panel

Click the link below the image that best matches the options available on your control panel, and then follow the steps to manage scheduled printing through the control panel.
Important : Some printers do not have an option to manage printables from the control panel. If your printer does not have one of these options to manage printables from the control panel, skip to the method to manage scheduled printing through the HP website .

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Apps or Printables icon.

  2. Touch the icon for the Printable that you want to manage to open the Printable's options screen.

  3. On the Printable's options screen, touch Settings .

  4. Touch Turn Off Scheduled Printing to stop the app or Printable from printing, or touch a Pause option.

  5. Touch OK to confirm your selection.
    NOTE:If a Printable is scheduled to print the same day that you stop the subscription, you might receive one more printout.
  6. Repeat these steps to pause or stop other Printables.

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the icon of the app that you want to manage. You might need to scroll to the left or right to see other apps.

  2. Touch Settings .

  3. Touch Turn Off Scheduled Printing to stop the app from printing, or touch a Pause option.

  4. Touch OK to confirm your selection.
    NOTE:If an app is scheduled to print the same day that you stop the subscription, you might receive one more printout.
  5. Repeat these steps to pause or stop other apps.

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow ( ) to select Printables , and then press OK .

  2. Press the Down Arrow ( ) to select the Printable that you want to manage, and then press OK .

  3. Press OK again. The Printable's Settings menu opens.

  4. Press the Down Arrow ( ) to select Turn off Scheduled Printing or a Pause option, and then press OK .

  5. Press OK to confirm your selection.
    NOTE:If a Printable is scheduled to print the same day that you stop the subscription, you might receive one more printout.
  6. Repeat these steps to pause or stop other Printables.
  • If these steps resolved the issue, there is no need to continue with the other steps in this document.
  • If the issue persists, continue to the next method.

Method two: Stop or pause scheduled printing through the HP website

Follow these steps to sign in to your HP account, and then pause or stop scheduled printing.
Important : You must pause or stop the Scheduled Delivery Printable through the HP website before you remove the app or Printable. If you do not stop the scheduled delivery first, scheduled jobs continue to print, even if you removed the app or Printable.
NOTE:If you do not have an online account with HP, you must create one and add your printer to your account in order to pause or stop scheduled printing from the HP website.If you do not want to create an online account with HP, skip to the method to disable and then enable Web Services .
These steps apply to all countries and regions except the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
  1. Log in to your account.
    If you do not have an HP ePrintCenter account, click Sign In , and then click Create an account , add your printer to your account, and then continue with these instructions.
  2. Click the Apps tab, and then click the tab for your printer.
  3. Click the App that you want to remove, and then click Setup .
  4. Click Update Settings , and then click Cancel scheduled delivery .
  5. Click Cancel Subscription .
    The Scheduled Delivery Print App’s icon is still listed on your printer's control panel display, but the scheduled deliveries are actually canceled. This allows you to access the Scheduled Delivery Print App at any time.
    NOTE:If a Printable is scheduled to print the same day that you cancel the subscription, you might receive one more printout.
  6. Repeat these steps to pause or cancel additional Printables.
    If the Printable that you want to pause or cancel is not listed on your HP account, follow these steps to add the Printable back to your account so that you can unsubscribe.
    1. Click Get More Apps , and then check the box next to Show Scheduled Delivery Apps .
    2. Select the app that you want to remove, and then click Add to printer .
    3. Click the Apps tab, and then click the tab for your printer.
    4. Click the App that you want to remove, and then click Setup .
    5. Click Update Settings , and then click Cancel scheduled delivery .
    6. Click Cancel Subscription .
    7. Repeat these steps to pause or cancel additional Printables.
  • If these steps resolved the issue, there is no need to continue with the other steps in this document.
  • If the issue persists, continue to the next method to disable and then re-enable Web Services.

Method three: Stop scheduled printing by disabling and then re-enabling Web Services

Disabling Web Services changes your printer's settings in the following ways.
  • Stops any scheduled printing
  • Resets your printer's ePrint email address
    NOTE:When you re-enable Web Services, you cannot use your former ePrint email address.
  • Removes any apps or Printables installed on your printer
  • Resets your Web Services settings
Important : If you subscribe to the HP Instant Ink program and you disable Web Services, you must complete the steps to re-enable web services and then re-enroll in the HP Instant Ink program.
Follow these steps to remove Printables from your printer by disabling Web Services.

Step one: Disable Web Services

Select your printer, and then follow the steps to disable Web Services.
NOTE:If you choose to leave Web Services disabled, your printer does not automatically check for firmware updates.
Follow the steps that best match your printer to disable Web Services.
  • On the printer control panel, touch the ePrint icon ( ) button to open the Web Service Summary screen. Touch Settings , touch Remove Web Services , and then follow the directions on the control panel to remove Web Services.
  • On the printer control panel, press the ePrint button ( ), touch Settings , and then touch Remove Web Services .
  • On the printer control panel, touch Setup ( ), select Wireless , select Web Services , select Remove Web Services , and then select OK . Follow the directions on the control panel to remove Web Services.
  • On the printer control panel, touch Setup ( ), select Web , select Remove Web Services , and then select OK . Follow the directions on the control panel to remove Web Services.
  • On the printer control panel, touch the Web Services or ePrint icon ( ), select Remove Web Services , and then select OK . Follow the directions on the control panel to remove Web Services.
  • HP Photosmart eStation All-in-One only : Touch Menu ( ), touch Settings , touch Web Services , select the Web Services checkbox, and then select Yes to accept the terms of use. Follow the directions on the control panel to remove Web Services.
Follow the steps that best match your printer to disable Web Services.
  1. Touch the Right Arrow ( ), and then touch Setup .
  2. Touch Web Services Setup , touch the Down Arrow ( ), and then touch Restore Factory Settings .
  • On the printer control panel, press the ePrint ( ) button or icon to open the Web Services menu.
    Select the option to Remove Web Services , and then follow the directions on the control panel to remove Web Services.
  • On the printer control panel, touch Setup ( ), and then touch Web Services .
    Select the option to Remove Web Services , and then follow the directions on the control panel to remove Web Services.
Follow the steps that best match your printer to disable Web Services.
  1. Print a network configuration page from the HP printer control panel.
  2. Find the HP printer's IP address on the network configuration page.
  3. On your computer, open a web browser, type the IP address into the address line, and then press Enter . The EWS opens.
    NOTE:Type the IP address exactly as it displays on the network configuration page, for example, 192.168.X.XXX.
  4. In the EWS, click the HP Web Services tab.
  5. Select the option to disable Web Services.

Step two: Re-enable Web Services

Select your printer, and then follow the instructions to enable Web Services.
Follow the steps that best match your printer to enable Web Services.
  • On the printer control panel, touch the Apps icon, touch Yes to enable Web Services, touch Yes to Accept Terms of Service, and then touch Yes again for automatic firmware updates. An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
  • On the printer control panel, touch Setup ( ), select Wireless , select Web Services , select Enable Web Services , and then select OK . An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
  • On the printer control panel, touch Setup ( ), select Web , select Enable Web Services , and then select OK . An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
  • On the printer control panel, touch the Web Services or ePrint icon ( ), select Enable Web Services , and then select OK . An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
  • HP Photosmart eStation All-in-One only : Touch Menu ( ), touch Settings , touch Web Services , select the Web Services checkbox, and then select Yes to accept the terms of use. An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
Follow the steps that best match your printer to enable Web Services.
  • On the printer control panel, touch the Apps icon, touch Yes to enable Web Services, touch Yes to Accept Terms of Service, and then touch Yes again for automatic firmware updates. An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
  • On the printer control panel, press the ePrint ( ) button or icon to open the Web Services menu.
    Either select Yes to enable Web Services, select Yes again for automatic updates, and then press the ePrint button again. Or, select Enable Web Services , and then select OK . An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
  • On the printer control panel, touch Setup ( ), and then touch Web Services .
    Select Enable Web Services , and then select OK . An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code.
Follow the steps that best match your printer to enable Web Services.
  1. Print a network configuration page from the HP printer control panel.

What happened to the Manager Tools app?

HP has transitioned its management advice content provider. Printers that had the Manager Tools printable have been transitioned to the Tony Robbins (for English) or Communication Success (for French and Spanish) Printables.
On some printers, the Tony Robbins or Communication Success app icons might not display on the printer after the change, even though the app is enabled for scheduled printing.
  • If the Tony Robbins or Communication Success icon does not display on your printer and you want to stop or pause scheduled printing, start with the method to manage scheduled printing through the HP website earlier in this document.
  • If you want to add the icon to your printer control panel, follow these steps to add the app.
These steps apply to all countries and regions except the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
  1. Sign in to your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
  2. Click the Printers tab, and then click My Print Apps .
  3. Click Get Apps , and then click the Print App that you want to add to your printer. A page opens and briefly describes the Print App.
  4. Click Add to Printer to add the Print App to your printer.

What happens if I disable Web Services?

HP recommends that you leave Web Services enabled so that you can continue to access all of your printer’s web-enabled features. Try the other methods to pause or stop Printables before you disable Web Services.
NOTE:If you disable Web Services, HP recommends that you re-enable Web Services to receive the most recent firmware updates.
If you disable Web Services, your printer does not automatically check for firmware updates. If your printer does not have access to automatic firmware updates, your printer could be out of date.
Disabling Web Services eliminates your ePrint email address and removes all Scheduled Delivery apps. When you re-enable Web Services, you cannot use the same ePrint email address.
Disabling Web Services removes you from HP Instant Ink. If you subscribe to the HP Instant Ink program and you disable Web Services, you must re-enroll in the HP Instant Ink program.

Can I have an app or Printable print only on certain days?

Yes. Some apps and Printables allow you to select the days that you want it delivered. Follow these steps to select the days that you want the app or Printable to print.
These steps apply to all countries and regions except the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
  1. Log in to your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
  2. Click the Apps tab, and then click the tab for your printer.
  3. Click the App that you want to remove, and then click Setup .
  4. Click Update Settings , select the days that you want the Printable to print, and then click Save .
