With the release of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, HP is providing updated print drivers and software for your printer. These updates are available through Apple Software Update
. You do not need to download a driver from HP
to use your printer with Mountain Lion.
NOTE:If your HP printer was previously set up and working with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or OS X 10.7 Lion, your printer is still supported when you update your Mac to the Mountain Lion operating system. HP recommends that you run Apple Software Update to make sure that you have the latest HP software installed.
Depending on the printer functionality
, one or more of the following software components might be included in the HP driver update for Mountain Lion:
HP full-feature print driver
HP fax driver
NOTE:A scan driver is not included in the Apple Software Update for Mountain Lion for your printer. You will no longer be able to scan with your printer when you install the HP driver update with Apple Software Update.
