  • PrintPrint

Introduction

This document describes how to find the model number of your printer. A model number is a unique numeric or alphanumeric code used to identify a particular version of a product. The same series of a product might have several different models with varying features.
NOTE:Do not confuse the model number (for example, HP LaserJet M1120) with the part number (for example, Q1234), which is used to order product parts.
The following are example model numbers that might look similar to the model number on your printer:
  • HP PSC 2175v All-in-One Printer
  • HP Officejet Pro K5400tn Printer
  • HP Photosmart 1315 Printer
  • HP Deskjet D4200 Printer
  • HP LaserJet M1120 Multifunction Printer
As described in this document, model numbers are commonly located on the body of the printer. Use one of the methods in this document to locate the model number on your printer.
