HP Defective Cartridge Replacement Guidelines
What is required from you to file a claim
-Written description of the problem and printout from printer setup, configuration page and printer supplies status together with actual print samples illustrating nature of problem. *For high-end laser and color LaserJet printer’s toners and drum kits warranty, please consult HP technical support for onsite problem identification.
-Proof of Purchase / delivery note (original copy)
-Original Packaging (where possible)
-Defective Inkjet /Print head / LaserJet print cartridge / Data Cartridge
-In the event of problem causing no print sample to be printable please provide written description of error and model of printer used with defective cartridge.
-Printer Serial / Model number (upon request)
What is required if you are not the owner of the product
-Must produce actual customer details for verification
-Written description of the problem and printout from printer setup, configuration page and printer supplies status together with actual print samples illustrating nature of problem. *For high-end laser and color LaserJet printers toners and drum kits warranty, please consult HP technical support for onsite problem identification.
-Proof of Purchase / delivery note (original copy)
-Original Packaging (where possible)
-Defective Inkjet /Print head / LaserJet print cartridge / Data Cartridge
-In the event of problem causing no print sample to be printable please provide written description of error and model of printer used with defective cartridge.
-Printer Serial / Model number (upon request)
-Must produce Letter of Authorization
This Warranty does not apply to products that:
-Have been modified, refilled, refurbished, remanufactured or tampered with in any way
-Experience problems resulting from misuse or improper handling, improper storage, or operation outside of the published environmental specifications for the printer product
-Exhibit wear and tear from ordinary use
-Print sample showing light or faded print due to toner exhaustion
-Out of weight range / empty /depleted and which do not meet the replacement guidelines
-Are not within the warranty period (expiration of warranty period) and / or is not within recommended print duty cycle / print volume / Media application (i.e. paper); whichever comes first
-Are not defective and / or are unused / new and unopened HP reserves the right to reject and warranty claims that do not meet the above criteria on replacement policy and were required supporting documents as stipulated above are not produced
