ISSUE:
When trying to add the print queue during the setup assistant you are asked to add the print queue. When you highlight the printer the “Print using ” window shows “hp ” and not the correct driver.

SOLUTION:
  1. Close the Printer Browser window and close Printer list window. Finish the HP Setup Assistant if you have not already done so.
  2. Go into you hard driver and then to the Library > Printers > HP folder. In that folder you should see an aio folder.

  3. Drag the aio folder into the Trash .
  4. Install the latest driver available for your product. The latest driver can be found by going to www.hp.com and clicking on Driver Downloads.
  5. After Installing continue with the HP Setup Assistant. This time you may not be asked to add the print queue.
  6. 6. If you are asked to add the printer, click the Printer Setup Utility button. Now click on the Add button. The Printer Browser should now open. The installed printer should now show under “printer name”.
  7. Click the printer to highlight it and click the Add button.
  8. If “Print using ” window shows “hp ”, reset the printing system. To do this click on the Printer Setup Utility menu at the top left of your screen next to the Apple.
NOTE: All printer queues will be deleted from the printer list.
  9. From this menu click on Reset Printing System .
  10. Now click on the Add button. The Printer Browser should now open. The installed printer should now show under “printer name ”.
  11. If “Print using ” window shows “hp ”, contact HP.
