How Do I Find the Model Number?

The model information referred to in this document pertains to HP customers who purchased the HP DVD Writer as a separate unit apart from their computer system.

If the DVD Writer was included as part of a purchase of an HP computer (Pavilion, Presario, Vectra, etc.), all appropriate technical support information including software, firmware, and driver updates for the pre-installed DVD Writer will be found on the support pages associated with the computer model, not the DVD Writer model.

The HP DVD Writer drive model information for a DVD Writer purchased separately from the HP computer can be found on the face of the DVD Writer drive (see Figure 1).
