Description

Microsoft has released Windows Media Center Edition 2005. This upgrade will not be available for HP notebooks.

Solution

HP notebook computers are not eligible for the Windows Media Center (MCE) 2005 Upgrade Program. Microsoft made core operating system enhancements in the development of Windows Media Center 2005 which require enhanced hardware not available on previous models. HP is committed to best customer experiences and will continue to offer Windows Media Center 2005 on select zd8000 notebook PCs.
