'Hphmon06.exe unable to locate component...problem' Message Displays on the Computer in Microsoft Windows XP After Installation

Issue
After installation of an HP All-in-One product, an error message Hphmon06.exe unable to locate component, the application failed to start because hpzjrd01.dll or hpzjfw01.dll or hpzjsn01.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application might fix this problem displays on the computer.
Solution one: Reinstall the HP software
Follow these steps to reinstall the HP software.
Step one: Uninstall the HP software
  1. Unplug the USB cable from the product.
  2. On the Windows taskbar, click Start , select All programs , and then click Hewlett-Packard or HP .
  3. Click the folder that lists the appropriate product.
  4. Click Uninstall all HP products associated with this device .
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. If asked whether shared files need to be removed, click No . Other programs that use these files might not work properly if the files are deleted.
Step two: Install the HP software
Follow one of these methods to install the HP software.
Method one: Install the HP software from the CD
Two installation options are available when installing the software and drivers from the product CD.
The Recommended install installs everything the device requires to work, including a suite of software recommended for installation. It is designed to work for most users.
The Custom install allows for installation of selected software. Use the custom install only for one of the following reasons:
  • Low hard-disk space on the computer
  • No additional software is needed
  • Errors occur during the recommended installation
NOTE: If errors occur during the recommended install, fix them before doing a custom install. Select Unblock or Accept on all firewall messages during installation to prevent the installation from failing.
Follow these steps, in the order, to install the printing-system software from the product CD.
CAUTION: Do not connect the USB cable until prompted to do so during software installation.
  1. Insert the software CD into the CD-ROM drive of the computer.
  2. Select Run setup.exe from the Autoplay window.
    NOTE: If the Autoplay window does not open, on the Windows taskbar click Start , click My Computer , and then double-click the CD-ROM Drive .
  3. Click Install on the Thank you for purchasing from HP! window.

    NOTE: The User Account Control window might open. Click Continue .
  4. Click Next on the Welcome to the Install Wizard... window.

  5. Click Next on the Please Allow All HP Install Wizard Processes window.

  6. Select Yes or No on the Automatically Check For Updates window, and then click Next .
    • The Yes (recommended) option checks for updates through an Internet connection.
    • The No option does not check for updates.

  7. Select one of the installation options to install the software and drivers from the product CD.

    • Recommended install
      1. Select Recommended in the Choose Recommended or Custom install window, and then click Next .
      2. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the software installation.
    • Custom install
      1. Select Custom in the Choose Recommended or Custom install window, and then click Next .
      2. Select Custom in the Installation Options window, and then click Next .
      3. Select the software to install by selecting the check box next to each item in the custom Installation window.
        NOTE: Click an item to see its description and the required disk space. At a minimum, the drivers and the HP Imaging Device Functions must be installed for the buttons on the control panel, such as the Scan button, to be functional.
      4. When finished with selections, click Next to continue.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the software installation.
Method two: Install the HP software from the Web
  1. Click here to go to the Software & Driver download page of the HP Web site.
  2. Type the product name in the search field, and then press Enter .
  3. Select the appropriate operating system.
  4. In the Driver section, select the appropriate software driver.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the software.
If the issue continues, proceed to the next solution.
Solution two: Download a product update using HP Software Update
Follow these steps to start the HP Software Update.
NOTE: Make sure that the computer is connected to the Internet before updating the software.
  1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start , select All programs , and then click Hewlett-Packard or HP .
  2. Click HP Software Update .
  3. Download the recommended update for the product.
