Introduction
If you recently changed the operating system on your computer to Windows Vista, you might notices some differences in your product functionality. Review this document for information on how to use your product with Windows Vista.
Using the HP PSC 1315 and Windows Vista
HP recommends that you download and install the latest, full-feature driver from the HP Web site. This download includes a full-feature driver and all the advanced features, such as scanning from the control panel. It also includes HP Solution Center, which replaced HP Director. Click here for complete instructions on obtaining and installing the full-feature software for your product (c01573160) (in English).
The following are the main points you need to know when you use your product with Windows Vista:
  • Compatibility : Your product is compatible with Windows Vista.
  • Software CD : The software CD that shipped with your product does not include drivers for Windows Vista.
  • Plug and Play installation : You can install your product in Windows Vista using Plug and Play installation, but the Plug and Play driver (in-OS driver) has limited functionality.
  • HP Director : HP Director and Windows Vista are not compatible . You cannot use HP Director on your computer with Windows Vista in the same way that you did with a previous operating system.
