How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

  • PrintPrint
HP provides a type of model name on the front of the TouchSmart or All-In-One, but this name or number may not be sufficient to get proper support for your computer. These names or numbers often represent a series of many computers that look similar, but have different options and parts. For example, HP has produced over a hundred types of TouchSmart 300 models in different configurations, such as the TouchSmart 300-1025 and the TouchSmart 300-1018cn models.
This document describes how to find the model number (also called the product name) for your HP TouchSmart or HP All-In-One Desktop PC. You can use the model number or the product number to download drivers, find helpful documents, or get on-line support.
NOTE:If needed, you may also use this document to find the serial number which is always listed near the product number.
