Description

This package contains an update to the HP Recovery Manager for the supported notebook models and operating systems.

The HP Recovery Manager enables users to recover or restore their notebooks to factory condition. Users can recover their system using a Recovery Disc, which is created by the Recovery Disc Creation function (a feature of Recovery Manager) or from the Recovery Partition (a partition on the hard drive that provides an environment for restorting data to the operating system partition).

Fix/Enhancement

  • Fixes issue where the CD option is dimmed (grayed out) in the Recovery Media Creation function.
  • Fixes issue where more than one instance of Recovery Manager could be running at one time. Now, only one instance of Recovery Manager is open at any time.
  • Resolves issue where a blank Recovery Manager screen is displayed after Hindi-LIP is installed.
  • Fixes issue with the Czech image where "System Restore" appears twice in the Advanced menu.
  • Fixes issue with the Danish image where the characters in some words do not display correctly.
  • Fixes some spelling issues with the Brazilian Portuguese image.
  • Removes launcher.exe, which is no longer needed. This change improves the time it takes to boot the notebook.

    Installation Instructions

    1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.
    2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
