Description

This package provides an update to the HP MediaSmart SmartMenu Software on the supported notebook models and operating systems.

The HP MediaSmart SmartMenu enables users to switch between MediaSmart applications, such as DVD, music, pictures (photos), video, and TV. To use the HP MediaSmart SmartMenu, users press the MediaSmart button (button labeled "M" that is located at the top of the keyboard area above the regular keyboard keys) to display the SmartMenu.

Fix/Enhancement

  • Updates the graphic for the SmartMenu DVD button to include the word "DVD".
  • Fixes an issue where the notebook cannot display the onscreen display (OSD) or SmartMenu after the screen resolution has been changed.
  • Fixes an issue where the notebook displays a "SMDialog Not Responding" message after pressing the "M" (MediaSmart) button at the top of the keyboard area.

    Installation Instructions

    1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).
    2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
