HP Download and Install Assistant
Follow the instructions below to install and run HP Download and Install Assistant using the HP Support Solutions Framework.
HP browser detection did not automatically detect your browser. Select the appropriate option required by your browser for each step listed below.

Instructions
Step 1:  Click on the security prompt which appears at the top of the browser window then click 'Download File…'
Step 2:  If a File Download Security Warning appears, click 'Run' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'Run' on the prompt at the bottom of the browser.
Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'HPSupportSolutions…msi' in the lower-left corner of the browser window
Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'Save File' when prompted
Step 2:  Click the downward-facing arrow in the upper-right corner of the browser, then double-click 'HPSupportSolutionsFramework…'
Step 3:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 4:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.

Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.

How to determine your current version

2. Click Control Panel
3. Click Performance and Maintenance
4. Click System to open the System Properties
5. Click on the Hardware tab
6. Click on the Device Manager button
7. Double click on Network Connections to expand the list
8. Double click on Intel® PRO/100 VE Network Connections to view its properties
9. Click on the Driver tab. The current driver version will be listed as
"Driver Version: 5.41.22.0"

Installation instructions

1. Click Start to open the Start Menu
2. Click Control Panel to open the Control Panel
3. Click Performance and Maintenance category
4. Click System to open System Properties
5. Click the Hardware tab
6. Click the Device Manager button to open the Device Manager
7. Double Click Network Adapters to see the list of network adapters installed.
8. Double Click "Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection" to view its Properties
9. Click on the Driver tab
10. Click on the Update Driver button
11. Click on the radio button labeled Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)
12 Click Next
13. Click the button labeled "Search for the best driver in these locations"
14. Check the box labeled Include this location in the search
15. Click Browse
16. Select the folder C:\HP\DRIVERS\WXP\UPDATE\LAN\INTEL
17. Click OK
18. Click Next. The computer will search for and install the driver.
19. Click Finish
20. Restart the computer. The new driver is now installed.

Update the Driver

10. Click on the Update Driver button
11. Click on the radio button labeled Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)
12 Click Next
13. Click the button labeled "Search for the best driver in these locations"
14. Check the box labeled Include this location in the search
15. Click Browse
16. Select the folder C:\HP\DRIVERS\WXP\UPDATE\LAN\INTEL
17. Click OK
18. Click Next. The computer will search for and install the driver.
19. Click Finish
20. Restart the computer. The new driver is now installed.

System requirements and dependencies

This driver is only for the Omnibook or Pavilion notebook models with an HP model code of GF running Windows XP.

Uninstall or Roll Back driver

Click on the Driver tab
Click either the Roll Back Driver button or the Uninstall button, depending on whether you wish to return to the previously installed driver or simply uninstall the driver for this device.
