Determining the current version
- Double-click Control Panel.
- Double-click System.
- Select Hardware tab.
- Double-click Device Manager.
- Double-click Network devices.
- Right-click LAN Express IEEE 802.11 PCI Adapter.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab.
- Driver Version filed displays current driver version. If the driver version displayed is 1.7.29.2118 or higher, this update is not required.

Execute "HP_WLAN.EXE".
|
1. A Welcome screen appears in which the installation steps are described. Press Next.
2. The InstallShield displays a "Choose Destination Location" dialog. The default destination folder is "C:\Program Files\HP\Wireless\802_11\UPDATE." You can press Browse to change to different folder.
3. Press Next button to continue.
4. InstallShield copies all necessary files on your system, then a dialog containing the message "InstallShield Wizard Complete" appears. Press Finish button to continue.

1. To complete the update for your HP Wireless LAN driver execute the file SETUP.EXE from the directory into which InstallSheild copied the files. This would default to "C:\Program Files\HP\Wireless\802_11\UPDATE."
2. A dialog box appears with the choices Modify, Repair and remove. Select Repair, then select Next.
3. Setup performs some operations (such as registry setup), then a dialog appears to ask you whether you want to reboot now or later. It is required to reboot your system for the changes to take effect. If you do not want to reboot now, select I will reboot my computer later. Press Finish and the installation is complete.
