HP Download and Install Assistant
Follow the instructions below to install and run HP Download and Install Assistant using the HP Support Solutions Framework.
HP browser detection did not automatically detect your browser. Select the appropriate option required by your browser for each step listed below.

Instructions
Step 1:  Click on the security prompt which appears at the top of the browser window then click 'Download File…'
Step 2:  If a File Download Security Warning appears, click 'Run' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'Run' on the prompt at the bottom of the browser.
Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'HPSupportSolutions…msi' in the lower-left corner of the browser window
Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'Save File' when prompted
Step 2:  Click the downward-facing arrow in the upper-right corner of the browser, then double-click 'HPSupportSolutionsFramework…'
Step 3:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 4:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Double-click 'HPSupportSolutionsFramework…' in the upper-right corner of the browser.
Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'Save File' when prompted  OR  Click on the security prompt which appears at the top of the browser window then click 'Download File…'  OR  Click 'Run' on the prompt at the bottom of the browser.  OR  Click 'HPSupportSolutions…msi' in the lower-left corner of the browser window
Step 2:  Click the downward-facing arrow in the upper-right corner of the browser, then double-click 'HPSupportSolutionsFramework…'  OR  If a File Download Security Warning appears, click 'Run' to install the framework.

  • 1. Download the update.
    2. Double-click the icon for the update downloaded in Step 1, and then click NEXT.
    3. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement, and then click NEXT to proceed with the installation.
    4. If an Overwrite Protection message appears, click YES TO ALL.
    5. Click OK at the MS-7093/MS-7184 Motherboard BIOS Update window.
    6. Click YES at the next MS-7093/MS-7184 Motherboard BIOS Update window, and then wait for the update to complete.
    7. If the following message appears "System requires blank floppy diskette or blank CD to update the BIOS.", click YES and proceed to Step 15, otherwise continue with Step 8.
    8. At the MS-7093/MS-7184 Motherboard BIOS Update window, click YES to restart the system.
    9. If you see the following message during the restart of the system, continue with Steps 10 through 14; otherwise you are done with the update.

    Default BIOS settings have been loaded due to BIOS update or checksum issue. Press to enter Setup. Otherwise, allow the PC to continue.

    10. Press and hold the F1 key for a few seconds to open the BIOS Setup.
    11. Press the F5 key, use the left and right arrow keys to choose YES, and then press Enter to load the BIOS defaults.
    12. Press the F10 key, use the left and right arrow keys to choose YES, and then press Enter to exit the BIOS Setup and save the changes.
    13. Press Enter to confirm the save.
    14. If you see a System Settings Change message prompting you to restart the system, click YES to restart the system again.
    15. Choose the type of media you are using, either a blank floppy diskette or a blank CD-R disc.

  • To install the update using a blank floppy diskette:

    16. Select Floppy Diskette in the "MS-7093/MS-7184 Motherboard BIOS Update" window, and then click OK.
    17. Insert the blank floppy diskette and click OK in the "MS-7093/MS-7184 Motherboard BIOS Update" window.
    18. Wait a few minutes for the program to create the BIOS Update diskette.
    19. Leave the floppy diskette in the floppy drive and click OK to restart the system.
    20. Follow the onscreen instructions.

    Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.

    21. After the update is complete, remove the floppy diskette from the floppy drive and restart the system.

  • To install the update using a blank CD-R disc:

    16. Select CD Disc in the "MS-7093/MS-7184 Motherboard BIOS Update" window, and then click OK.
    17. Click OK in the "MS-7093/MS-7184 Motherboard BIOS Update" window.
    18. To continue with the remaining update steps, refer to the appropriate instructions for the CD recording software you are going to use.

  • For Veritas RecordNow Version 5.0 or earlier:

    1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, CD (DVD) Recorder, RecordNow, and then click RecordNow again.
    2. In the RecordNow application window, click Make a Data Disc.
    3. Insert the blank CD-R disc into the drive, and then click NEXT.
    4. Click Add Files and Folders.
    5. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26713), select the sp26713.iso file and click ADD.
    6. Click Yes and wait for RecordNow to complete the update CD.
    7. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the system.
    8. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the BIOS.

    Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.

    9. After the BIOS update is complete, remove the CD from the optical drive and restart the system.

  • For Sonic RecordNow! 6.0:
    RecordNow! 6.0 does not support the ISO image burning feature. To update RecordNow! 6.0 to RecordNow! 6.7:

    1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, CD (DVD) Recorder, RecordNow!, and then click RecordNow! again.
    2. Click on the Help menu icon (a question mark), then click Check for Updates.
    3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the update.

    Note: You may need to run the update twice, once to update the RecordNow! PX recording engine and again to update RecordNow! to version 6.7.

    4. When you are finished updating to RecordNow! 6.7, go to the instructions for Sonic RecordNow! 6.5 or 6.7 to continue with the remaining steps of this BIOS update.

  • For Sonic RecordNow! Version 6.5 or 6.7:

    1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, CD (DVD) Recorder, RecordNow!, and then click RecordNow! again.
    2. In the RecordNow! application window, click the tab to view Backup Projects.
    3. Click Burn Image.
    4. Click Browse.
    5. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26713), select the sp26713.iso file and click ADD.
    6. Insert the blank CD-R disc into the drive.
    7. Click Burn and wait for RecordNow! to complete the update CD.
    8. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the system.
    9. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the BIOS.

    Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.

    10. After the BIOS update is complete, remove the CD from the optical drive and restart the system.

  • For Sonic RecordNow! Version 7.0 or greater:

    1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, Sonic RecordNow!, and then click RecordNow!.
    2. In the RecordNow! application window, click the tab to view Backup Projects.
    3. Click Burn Image.
    4. Click Browse.
    5. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26713), select the sp26713.iso file and click ADD.
    6. Insert the blank CD-R disc into the drive.
    7. Click Burn and wait for RecordNow! to complete the update CD.
    8. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the system.
    9. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the BIOS.

    Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.

    10. After the BIOS update is complete, remove the CD from the optical drive and restart the system.

  • For Sonic DigitalMedia Plus or Deluxe Version 7.0 or greater:

    1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, Sonic, DigitalMedia Projects, and then click RecordNow Copy.
    2. In the RecordNow application window, click the Copy tab (it may already be selected).
    3. Click Burn Image.
    4. Click Browse.
    5. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26713), select the sp26713.iso file and click ADD.
    6. Insert the blank CD-R disc into the drive.
    7. Click Burn and wait for RecordNow to complete the update CD.
    8. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the system.
    9. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the BIOS.

    Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.

    10. After the BIOS update is complete, remove the CD from the optical drive and restart the system.

  • For Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6:

    1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6, and then click Creator Classic.
    2. In the File Menu, click Record Disc from Image.
    3. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26713), select the sp26713.iso file and click OPEN.
    4. Insert the blank CD-R disc into the drive.
    5. Click OK in the Record Setup window and wait for Roxio to complete the update CD.
    6. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the system.
    7. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the BIOS.

    Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.

    8. After the BIOS update is complete, remove the CD from the optical drive and restart the system.
