This download includes the HP Toolbox software for your printer. The Toolbox provides status and maintenance information about your printer. It also provides access to documentation and online help tools for solving printer problems.

This download does NOT include the print driver solution for your HP printer. The print driver solution for this product is included in your Windows 7 operating system and is already on your computer.

Use these directions to guide you through the self-install process

Installation Instructions

Internet Explorer:
  1. Click the Download only button.
  2. When a new pop-up window appears, click on the Run button.

    3. Note: Make sure the printer is not connected to the computer before running the file.
    Note: Depending on your connection speed, the file will take some time to transfer to your computer.
  3. If an "User Account Control" pop-up windows appears, click the Continue button.

    4. Note: The file is compressed and may take time to extract and run.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.


Firefox:
  1. Click the Download only button.
  2. When a new pop-up window appears, click on the Save File button.

    3. Note: Depending on your connection speed, the file will take some time to transfer to your computer.
  3. When the download completes, double-click the most recent file to start the software installation.

    4. Note: Make sure the printer is not connected to the computer before running the file.
  4. If an "Open Executable File?" pop-up window appears, click the OK button.
  5. If an "User Account Control" pop-up windows appears, click the Continue button.

    6. Note: The file is compressed and may take time to extract and run.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

System requirements

Important! Please ensure that the HP printer driver for your printer is installed before you download and install the HP Toolbox software. For more information on how to install the HP print driver, do the following:

  1. Click the Software & Driver downloads link on the right.
  2. Click the Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit) or Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit) link.
  3. Click the 'Installing the Product with the USB Cable and Using the Driver Located in the Windows 7 Operating System' link and follow the instruction to install the HP print driver.
