HP Download and Install Assistant
Follow the instructions below to install and run HP Download and Install Assistant using the HP Support Solutions Framework.
HP browser detection did not automatically detect your browser. Select the appropriate option required by your browser for each step listed below.

Instructions
Step 1:  Click on the security prompt which appears at the top of the browser window then click 'Download File…'
Step 2:  If a File Download Security Warning appears, click 'Run' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'Run' on the prompt at the bottom of the browser.
Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'HPSupportSolutions…msi' in the lower-left corner of the browser window
Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'Save File' when prompted
Step 2:  Click the downward-facing arrow in the upper-right corner of the browser, then double-click 'HPSupportSolutionsFramework…'
Step 3:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 4:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Double-click 'HPSupportSolutionsFramework…' in the upper-right corner of the browser.
Step 2:  If User Account Control appears, click 'Yes' to install the framework.
Step 3:  Click 'OK' to close this window and begin downloading your software.
Step 1:  Click 'Save File' when prompted  OR  Click on the security prompt which appears at the top of the browser window then click 'Download File…'  OR  Click 'Run' on the prompt at the bottom of the browser.  OR  Click 'HPSupportSolutions…msi' in the lower-left corner of the browser window

- Broadcom WLAN Utility for use with the following adapters:

Fix/Enhancement

    - Atheros Client Utility (version 3.1.1.50):
      - Adds Single-Sign-On support to enable Microsoft Windows Logon credentials to be used for wireless network authentication.
      - Adds support for additional Wi-Fi protected access (WPA) and IEEE 802.1x extensible authentication protocol (EAP) types including LEAP, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, PEAP(EAP-GTC), and PEAP(EAP-MSCHAP V2).
      - Adds support for PEAP-GTC and open trading protocol (OTP) with WPA and IEEE 802.1x
      - Auto-Profile selection
    - Broadcom WLAN Utility (version 3.40.25.6):
      - Adds WPA support to the user interface.

1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files. If desired, specify a target directory for the files (the download directory is the default).

3. After the files are unpacked, the Setup program (setup.exe) automatically runs to update the drivers. If the setup program does not run automatically, execute setup.exe manually.

4. Delete the self-extracting file downloaded in Step 1, if desired.

Install SoftPaq SP27732, "HP WLAN W400-W500 Driver for Windows 2000/XP" Version 3.00 Rev A. SoftPaq SP27732 installs driver version 3.1.1.50.

- For notebooks running Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition with a Broadcom 802.11b, Broadcom 54g MaxPerformance 802.11g, or HP Wireless LAN 54g WL450 adapter:
Install SoftPaq SP23107, "Broadcom 802.11b and 802.11g Network Adapters Driver for Windows XP" Version 2.00 Rev A. SoftPaq SP23107 installs driver version 3.40.25.3.

- For notebooks running Microsoft Windows 2000 with a Broadcom 802.11b, Broadcom 54g MaxPerformance 802.11g, or HP Wireless LAN 54g WL450 adapter:
Install SoftPaq SP23108, "Broadcom 802.11b, 802.11g Network Adapters Driver for Windows 2000" Version 2.00 Rev A. SoftPaq SP23108 installs driver version 3.40.25.3.
