AOL Version 8 Update

This utility has the following additional requirements:

• It will only operate correctly under Windows 95, 98, 98 SE, and ME.
• It will NOT work on Windows 2000, XP Home, or XP Professional, or the Macintosh OS's.
• This patch will only work with hp officejet K series drivers older then version 3.00 such as:
  • version 1.16 (A10.03.16) (except Korean or Traditional Chinese)
• This patch will NOT work on the driver version 3.00 or newer.

NOTE: This is not a self-installing patch. It requires the user to manually replace the original file with this new one.

1. Download the file, hpoaol07.exe to a local drive. Make note where (in which folder) the file gets copied.
2. In Windows Explorer (or by some equivalent means) go to the folder where hpoaol07.exe was copied, right click on "hpoaol07.exe" and select "copy"
3. Browse to the location of the old installed hpoaol07.exe file. The default is:
   C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP OfficeJet K series\bin
4. Right-click on this folder and select "Paste"
5. When the "Confirm File Replace" dialog appears, confirm that the replacement file is newer and then select [yes].
6. Manual installation is complete.
