How to Fax Your Warranty Proof of Purchase

This document contains information on how to submit your warranty verification request to HP via fax if you believe the warranty status given by the Web site is incorrect. Please follow the instructions below to fax your proof of purchase to HP. This process is only available for the countries listed below.

Faxing your warranty status validation

Note: Once you have reviewed the information on this page, click the Back button on your browser to fill out the Dispute form.
  1. Please complete the HP Warranty Status Validation form and complete all the required fields indicated with an asterisk (*) except for the Upload proof of purchase section.
  2. After completing the form, please print out the form from your internet browser.
  3. Fax the form and your proof of purchase information.
  4. When all required information is received, HP will use the information to determine if the warranty status for your product should be changed.
  5. You will receive an e-mail from HP with the outcome of your request within 1 business day.

Issue with my Accessories, Supplies and/or Software
Use the browse button to select the proof of purchase file from your computer. The following file types are allowed to be uploaded: JPG, PNG, DOC, DOCX, PDF, ZIP, GIF, or BMP.

When all required information is received, HP can use the information to determine the warranty status for the product that you want supported.

Tips on Scanning and Attaching Files

1. Use a device to scan or capture your document by following your product's instructions.
2. When scanning, save the file by selecting one of the following file formats: JPG, PNG, DOC, DOCX, PDF, ZIP, GIF, or BMP.
3. Make note of the location where you saved your file and ensure that it does not exceed the 5 MB size limit.
4. Use the "Browse" button within the submission form and select a file to upload in the File Open Dialog Box, and then click on the "Open" button.
5. Continue completing the form and select the "Submit" button to send your request to a HP Service Agent.
